On Foot
From Bristol City Centre, go up Park Street (past College Green) and look for the Spar shop and Khoi Clothing on the right hand side if you are walking up the hill. The front entrance to the Folk House is next door; you will have to walk through the short alley way to get to the Folk House.
Driving from the M4/M32
Drive to the very end of the M32 and turn right on to the dual carriageway (Bond Street).
Drive to the next roundabout and take the first exit. This will take you along a one-way system. Stay in the middle or right-hand lane and go over 3 sets of pedestrian crossing lights.
At the next set of main lights remain in the right-hand lane ready to cross diagonally right across the centre. Pass the Hippodrome on your right-hand side and follow the right-hand lane which will take you into Park Street. You should have the Cathedral and a large green on your left hand side. The Folk House is a third the way up on your right hand side.
There is a cheap all-day car park between Trenchard Street and Park Row (See D on the map above). To get to the car park from the end of the M32, turn right on to the dual carriageway (Bond Street), drive to the next roundabout and take the second exit (straight on). Go through 3 sets of traffic lights and at the Red Lodge turn sharp left into Lodge Street and right into Trenchard Street carpark. The lower pedestrian entrance is close to the rear entrance to the Folk House in Culver Street.
There is another one, West End car park, in Berkeley Place (see E on the map above). There are others nearby.
On-street parking tends to be expensive. There are parking spaces on the roads off Park Street. Alternatively for the day park a little way out of Bristol and walk in; for example, Bedminster, Southville, Cotham...
Bristol City Council webiste also has a Car Park Finder which includes maps and tariffs.
